A workshop was held in Tunis on 10-13 Sept. 2012, convening religious-inspired political groups and parties from North Africa and evangelical representatives from the Americas. Facilitated by the Cordoba Foundation of Geneva in partnership with the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, the event aimed to enable new political actors of the "Arab Spring" to enter a participative citizen-based political process. It also included an exchange of experience on the challenges of moving from religious predication to governance, by translating religious values into a political language understandable by all. The successful integration of Salafi parties into political processes is indeed a crucial stake for peace in the region.

اللقاء السلفي-الإنجيلي

انعقدت بتونس الخضراء من العاشر إلى الثالث عشر من شهر سبتمبر لسنة 2012م ورشة عمل بحضور مجموعات وأحزاب سياسية ذات مرجعية دينية من شمال أفريقيا ومن القارة الأمريكية. وكان هدف هذا اللقاء الذي أشرفت على تيسيره مؤسسة قرطبة بجنيف بشراكة مع وزارة الخارجية السويسرية إلى تمكين الفاعلين السياسيين الجدد الذين برزوا عقب "الربيع العربي" من المشاركة السياسية على أساس المواطنة. كما تضمنت الورشة تبادل التجارب حول التحديات التي يفرضها الانتقال من الدعوة الدينية إلى الحكامة السياسية، الذي يتطلّب ترجمة القِيم الدينية إلى خطاب سياسي يفهمه الجميع. إنّ نجاح اندماج الأحزاب ذات المرجعية السلفية في العملية السياسية رهان حيوي لترقية السلم في المنطقة.

La rencontre Salafis-Evangéliques

Du 10 au 13 septembre 2012 s'est tenue à Tunis une rencontre rassemblant des groupes et partis politiques nord africains d'inspiration religieuse et des représentants évangéliques du continent américain. Modérée par la Fondation Cordoue de Genève, en partenariat avec le Département fédéral des Affaires étrangères suisse, l'événement avait pour objectif de permettre aux nouveaux acteurs politiques du "Printemps arabe" une participation politique et citoyenne. Il a aussi inclus un échange d'expérience sur les défis du passage de la prédication religieuse vers la gouvernance, en traduisant les valeurs religieuse en un langage politique compréhensible par tous. L'intégration des partis salafis dans un processus politique est en effet un enjeu critique pour la promotion de la paix dans la région.
